College of the Redwoods in Eureka, California

Located in Eureka, California, College of the Redwoods is a public two-year community college. With a sprawling campus of over 270 acres, the college has beautiful views of Table Bluff, Humboldt Bay and the Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Founded in 1964, there are over 8,600 students enrolled and popular programs at the college include: the Fine Woodworking Program, Police Academy, Nursing and Dental Programs, Truck Driving School and a variety of transfer programs.

Campus Design

The campus was designed to enhance the natural surroundings using large exposed wooden support beams which are visible in every structure.

    The college has two satellite campuses located in Crescent City and Fort Bragg. Another off-campus site is the Klamath-Trinity Instructional Site on the Hoopa Valley Tribe reservation.

    The college specializes in transfer and vocational classes, including its popular Fine Woodworking Program which was founded by James Krenov, a world-renowned woodworker and furniture maker.
